About The SAFE-ZONE


According to the U.S. Department of Labor, wrist pain incidence is disabling people in epidemic proportions. Dr. Richard Reinhardt took up the challenge to find a solution. He applied his research on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) and repetitive stress injuries. With more than thirty years of college-based and private practice treatment, Dr. Reinhardt found that:

  • CTS surgery risks and expenses far outweigh the low odds of success.
  • Wrist pain devices like splints and braces can actually promote even greater injuries. They "lock-up" the wrist. When this occurs, the wrist is immobilized, resulting in "disuse atrophy" which can be very damaging to the proper movement of the hand and fingers.
  • Keeping the wrist within a critical 20° angle "safe zone" helps to stop wrist pain.

Based on these findings, and hundreds of experiments, Dr. Reinhardt created and patented The SAFE-ZONE Wrist Support.

Dr. Reinhardt's dedicated work, and the proven ability of The SAFE-ZONE to stop wrist pain, is responsible for inspiring the incorporation of SWP, LLC in 2004. We exist solely to manufacture, market, and distribute The SAFE-ZONE Wrist Support.
